First I'd like to mention the cleaner. We've stayed in loads of similar properties over the years. And this must be the cleanest of them all. The cottage was spotless. The pint of milk was appreciated as was the lovely cup cakes. The cottage is very well equipped. Including 2 hairdryers. 3 tvs. (All smart). And just about everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. In fact their's so much included, theirs no room for any groceries etc. Ali was a pleasure to deal with, making booking very easy. The location is no more than a 5min walk from a chippy. Although it's not that good. Very mediocre chips. Better is the choice in nearby Wroxham. In fact Wroxham is a must visit location. Where you can book a boat trip on the broads. My only negative of the whole experience, is the comfort of the two chairs and the 2 seater settee. They look really nice, but killed mine and my wife's back after only a few minutes sitting down. The bed on the other hand was really comfortable. Overall we both really enjoyed our stay.
This is a lovely cottage excellently maintained and a good location to explore some of the broads, Norwich, and some of the coast. A short walk of the pubs - I ate twice in the Rising Sun great food - but beware no street lighting between the pubs and cottage. One disadvantage it is on the Wroxham Road and there seems to be late evening and early morning commuter traffic.
We had a lovely stay in the cottage. It is in a great location which made it easy for us to get bus links to get out and about. Clean and very comfortable. Really well equiped for cooking; this I was really happy with as I managed to make a meal for my friends we were visiting. Loved the added extras such as the cake, fresh milk, teabags etc.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property.
We had a lovely stay in your comfortable cottage, it was a super base for our holiday in Norfolk.
We had a lovely stay at Haven Cottage which was immaculate, comfortable and had everything we needed. Ali was a perfect host and answered questions quickly. It is in a great location to experience Norfolk and we managed to keep our boys (14 and 12 years old) happy. We kayaked and canoed on the river (hiring from TheCanoeMan just down the road from the cottage), hired a day boat from Wroxham, visited Cromer (for body boarding), Sheringham, Wells/Holkham (couldn't believe how massive this beach is - we didn't even make it to the sea but there are lots of inlets to swim in), Waxham/Horsey (swam with seals!). The cottage is a short walk to nearby pubs on the river with great food and service (you can't book a table but we never waited long), also nice local tea room, bakery and good Indian take away.
The cottage is in a great location and within easy reach of all the main attrections, e.g. Broads, Walking, Good Pubs for eating, National Trust properties, Steam Railway, etc. Very clean and comfortable. Very well equiped for cooking and with off Street parking.
I left my walking shoes behind the front door upon leaving (my fault), however Ali got them sent back to me via next day delivery . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property
The cottage was immaculate, comfortable, very well equipped, and in a great location. Convenient for Wroxham from where you can take boat trips on the Broads and trains to Norwich and Sheringham and also go on the Bure Valley steam railway. The circular walk from the common was lovely. Nice pubs within walking distance. We also appreciated the multiple TVs, one for football and one for tennis. The whole process of booking was smooth and efficient and any help offered but not needed. Many thanks, Ali, for a very pleasant experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week & thought that the cottage was lovely and very well appointed.
Loved sitting out in the sunny yard for breakfast.
Really comfy sitting room with lots of little tables.
The main bedroom is fab and extremely comfortable.
Highly recommend a trip on the steam railway. Loads of other things to do in the area - we completely ran out of time! All the pubs in walking distance are great too.
Do be aware that the road past the cottage is pretty busy & the traffic generally ignores the speed limit.
This is such a beautifully renovated little cottage and a real delight to stay in. The location is brilliant; very attractive village to spend time in and the cottage is well situated within it. It is strolling distance to lots of nice and useful shops and the pretty green in Coltishall with a couple of very good pubs to eat in and enjoy the river view. It's also near a couple of nice places to have afternoon tea!
Inside the cottage, it's immaculately and tastefully decorated and scrupulously clean. Everything felt brand new. The beds and bed linen are good quality and very comfortable. We stayed during a rather cold period but the cottage was very comfortable in terms of the temperature - we never needed to override the heating and never felt cold anywhere in the house. The kitchen is well equipped, including a 45cm dishwasher. The bathroom is upstairs and good if you have kids as there's also a tiny bath but there's also a shower above it for adults to use. Ali is brilliant - very responsive and helpful should you need anything. Thoroughly recommend :)
